I wanna do a quick review on the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara!! Stacey got this Dior set for me for my birthday last year and I was so happy because she was raving bout this mascara before and I really wanted to try it.
I honestly have a love hate relationship with this mascara. I love the way it looks and how it applies and all but it's a burden to remove and it kinda smudges after awhile :( Sigh. Do you feel my pain?!
It makes my lashes look naturally amazing HAHA I don't know how else to describe it. I always get compliments when I use this mascara! It doesn't really clump but it makes your lashes look so full. It holds a curl quite well too!
This mascara is on the dry side of the mascara spectrum. It doesn't dry that fast so you can layer it and it also doesn't dry out fast in the tube which means you can use it for longer and get your money's worth!
The brush is curved and it has bristles (my fave!!) instead of the plastic combs. (which I personally am not a fan of) The brush is relatively big as well.
The only thing I hate about this mascara is how hard it is to remove. Because it is a tubing mascara, it doesn't come off with oil cleansers. It comes off with warm water. However, because I usually use an oil cleanser to remove my face/eye make up, it messes up this removal. When I use warm water, it doesn't really come off easily as well. It has this weird texture and it leaves my eyes stained. Which is damn troublesome for me because I would have to use another cleanser to remove it. I have found that the easiest way to remove this mascara is using bioderma for some reason.
Would I purchase this mascara? Probably not because I have other favourites but this mascara is good if you don't mind taking extra steps to remove it :)
I just wish Dior would make this a waterproof mascara instead of a tubing one. It would really be my HG then!
Lots of love,
Alexandria ♡
